EVENT BUSINESS FINALIST IN NORTHWEST FAMILY BUSINESS AWARD

It has just been announced that Hardy’s BounceFest Limited, an entertainment supplier based in South Cumbria is a finalist for the Leisure & Tourism (Small) category of the Northwest Family Business Awards 2023.

Hardy’s BounceFest Ltd, which is based in Dent and incorporates Hardy Soft Play Hire and BounceFest UK, beat strong competition with a record number of family businesses entering the awards from across the Northwest region.

This first-class event will be held at The Concorde Conference Centre, near Manchester Airport. Co-hosted by Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth of The Family Business Community, alongside renowned food and drink writer, and presenter Nigel Barden, and will take place on Friday 19th May 2023.

Director Jenette Hardy said, “We are thrilled to be finalists in the Northwest Family Business Awards. Our industry suffered incredibly during the lockdowns, and in the following months when there were still many restrictions on events. We put everything we had into using that time to focus on the business and our growth and have come back stronger than ever, providing more fun at more events than ever before. It is wonderful to see our family run business getting recognised for the hard work we’ve done. We would like to thank our fantastic staff and our customers for their continued support.”

Co-Founder and Director, Sue Howorth said: “We were inundated with some incredible entries, and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire. The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!

Co-director, Dave Clarkson said: "A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill out an application form and enter. We’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”

Sue Bagguley from Siemens PLC near Manchester, and who were the hosts of our Judging Day, said: “The number and quality of applications from across the Northwest has been outstanding, the businesses are clearly proud to be family businesses and the detail in many of the entries has demonstrated that they are very progressive and innovative.
